Hello again!
Yesterday I found some lovely numeracy games on the BBC learning ages 4-11 website. The girls loved playing the games, even though some of the maths was quite hard. Here are videos of Judit playing the dartboard game and Sara playing the matching pairs game:
We also played dominoes yesterday, it took Sara a while to understand the game, but soon the girls were playinng very well:
This morning both girls wrote me some really good news with what they did yesterday, I was busy with an angry baby Jordi so they worked all alone! Here are some videos of them reading their work to me, I was very impressed!
After writing the news, we found some alphabet cards we made a few months ago and put them up on the wall, it took a long time and a LOT of blutack!!! The girls have only learnt the letter sounds, and mostly get away with using the same sounds for english and Catalan, but the letter names are important too so we practised the alphabet song using the letters, here's a video of some singing!
So there you go, lots of videos of a few busy days! Now we're going to try making marshmallows, we'll let you know how they work out!

Molt bé! Impressionant el nivell d'anglès, a més, confirma (així com amb els meus fills petits) el que sempre m'havien discutit els mestres del meu claustre quan jo treballava a l'escola i, com a mestra de filològiques i titular d'anglès, volia introduir l'idioma (amb jocs i cançons) a les aules d'infantil. Cosa que no vaig poder fer mai doncs ho consideraven una BARBARITAT! Petons sincers i dono gràcies per poder educar els petits a casa!!!!
Gràcies Lídia, el tema de l´anglés a l´escola va ser el nostre PRIMER motiu principal d´educar a casa. Molt abans de coneixer que educar a casa era una opció les nostres nenes anaven a l´escola pels matins i per la tarda teníem l´au-pair. És una llàstima que no puguem tenir per "normativa" professors natius d´anglés a l´escola, és tot un tema de debat...
Respecte a l'escola,... n'hi ha molts de temes per rebatre i debatre i més, avui en dia, quan l'uniforme, sembla ser, que es torna a "introduir" en les escoles públiques com ara l'escola Màrius Torres de l'Hospitalet, segons informació del bloc l'Educació i les TIC. Hi ha moltes coses que no funcionen bé a les escoles car són espais on s'hi agrupa a molta gent, entre alumnes i mestres i, més indirectament, pares i mares, de tota ideologia, mentalitat i mena! Petons sincers!
