Yesterday the girls and I went to visit Parc Güell, one of the most famous spots in Barcelona. The idea was to start a new project, learning all about the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and his very unique style. While it is very important to learn about the world, it is also very important to know all about our own culture. The girls were amazed with the park and we talked lots about how Gaudí combined interesting shapes with his interest in nature. The girls attempted drawing some of the interesting features around the park, and had fun trying to copy the textures they saw. We are aiming to research more next week about the life of Antoni Gaudí and hoping to explore his other works in the future, and maybe even attempt to make something Gaudí style!
