Summer Performance

We have enjoyed so much the last performance. The children have been doing very well. Enjoy the show and see you next september.

Christmas Performance

This week, the young children have been completing lots of Christmas activities! Our Maths has been consolidationg our prior knowledge through Christmas themed activities and in Phonics, we have been reading and writing Christmas sentences.
The older children began the week by looking at how Christmas is celebrated around the world. We also made lots of Christmas decorations for our play.
We all baked cookies and made special Christmas boxes to take them home in and we decorated our salt dough with Cynthia and Katie's grandma (a huge thank you to both)
On Tuesday was our Christmas Performance and it went brilliantly! Check out the show on You Tube. 
On Friday, we played party games and had a special Christmas Lunch with our families.
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and we will see you in the New Year!

Shakespeare en el teatro

El teatro es una de las actividades extraescolares más completas. Aprenden a memorizar textos literarios y también a crearlos y escribirlos ellos mismos, aprenden a vocalizar correctamente, mímica, entonación de la voz, movimiento corporal, etc. Cada curso los padres podemos visualizar el teatro final que es un compendio de todo lo trabajado durante el curso. Esta vez nos sorprendieron realmente. Cada grupo actuó más de media hora de Show, con obras clásicas de autores tan conocidos como Shakespeare, entre otros. Un espectáculo que nos encantó a todos, incluso a los más pequeños que aplaudieron sin cesar.

The Gruffalo

This week we read a story called ´The Gruffalo´ by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Judit, Sara and Jordi enjoy reading this story about a little Brown mouse.

The kids had a brilliant idea, they wanted to put on a play to act out the story and dress up like the character´s.

They painted their faces and dressed up as the character´s from the story, Sara decided she would be the mouse, Jordi wanted to be the Gruffalo and Judit would be the snake, the fox and the owl.

Judit, Sara and Jordi all enjoyed acting out the story with each other.

 

 

Show teatral

El teatro es una actividad extraescolar que apasiona a Sara y Judit. Prepararse los guiones, disfrazarse, maquillarse, ensayar con sus compañeros y sobre todo actuar en público. En Navidad la escuela de teatro nos ofrece a los padres un pequeño show que preparan los niños, el guión, el decorado y la música.  La sala se llena a rebosar de padres, abuelos, hermanos, tíos, primos, etc. Aunque solo actúen 5 minutos, nadie quiere perdérselo. Es una buena ocasión para disfrutarla en familia.

 

 

 

Arriba el telón

El fin de curso para los homeschoolers no tiene mucho sentido, pero sí lo celebramos con las actividades extraescolares, fiestas de despedida, teatros, shows y refrigerios.  Sara y Judit acudieron al teatro para representar la obra de final de curso, estaban exaltadas y con ganas de hacernos pasar un buen rato. Fueron momentos muy emotivos, donde los padres pudimos observar el trabajo que han hecho los niños durante este año. Comienza la función.
